HORSE TRIALS

We hosted the ODE at Poplar Park on Sunday 22nd June. We had one Novice, one Intermediate and one Junior team entered.

Intermediate Team
Caroline Steward on Kylemore Diamond, Kirsty Dawes on Lucky Royal, Krystina Fish on Lazulie and Emily Harvey on Black and White Minstral.

Novice team
James Smith on Joseph, Anne Corke on Chuck, Caroline Steward on Arkimedes lll and Julia Smith on Hot Prospect

Junior team
Louise Prowse on Custard, Shirley Stagg on Timatia, Emily Blew on Mosstown Toby and Pippa Holt on Amber Starlight.

We also had a Novice non qualifying team consisting Emily Harvey on Bertie, Stephen Wombell on Rat a Tat Tat and Nicola Peek on Lordships Dependancy, unfortunately Hannah Gillott had to withdraw.

Hugo Goodchild also rode as an individual on Max and Statue Gallery, Teddie Harvey also did well on Coozsheen.

All the teams did really well with our Novice team just missing out on qualifying and came 2nd, but James Smith on Joseph came 1st in his arena and qualified for the championships.  The Intermediate team was great and came 1st also qualifying, and the Junior team also rode well and although there were a few problems with the result it was finally announced that they had also come 1st and qualified, Shirley Stagg having a double clear.

The whole day ran smoothly and all had a good day going home with rosettes and trophies. Many thanks also to all of you that helped, it was a shame more people did not want to take part but perhaps next year.
