Area Horse Trials

Area Horse Trials at Poplar Park - 3rd July

Finn Valley hosted the qualifier for the National Championships at Poplar Park on Sunday 3^rd July. Despite numbers being down the this year, the day went well.

Finn Valley fielded five teams and also four individuals. The junior team of Leatitia Goodchild, Dominic Branch, Fred Merrett and Luke Nicholls with Louise Prowse and Rebecca Rice as individuals kicked us off, with the team performing well and Fred Merrett qualifying as an individual for the Championships.

The Senior Novice Green Team of Caroline Steward and Julia List (both on their young horses), Krystina Fish and Sarah Ann Jordan Gunn finished in 6^th place with Sarah Ann 2^nd in her arena.

The Senior Novice Blue Team of Sarah and Rob Masterson, Sabina Goodchild and Caroline Steward (on her more experienced horse), managed a credible 3^rd place, with Rob qualifying for the Championships as the highest placed individual in his arena, not in the winning team, a great result for him.

The Senior Novice Purple Team of Annabel Brown, Sarah Moss and Jill Lloyds and also two individuals Carolyn Hammond and Catherine Monk all had a good day, with a particularly good performance by Jill Lloyds who finished on her dressage score.

Our Senior Open Red Team, down to just three competitors of Julia List, Maria Adlam and Jane Cragie, were unbeatable and qualified for the Championships, with Julia finishing 2^nd individually as well. Super results for them all
