SHOW JUMPING CHAMPIONSHIPS

This was another successful weekend for the Finn Valley with the team consisting of myself, Laura Nichols, Anna Haley and Jane Craige. The day started early and I was the first to ride at 9am. The course was very long and up to height. I was very pleased with a lovely clear round to get us started. Next Anna rode on her big coloured and jumped another great clear round. All was looking very good for the team. Jane was next to ride but her little grey decided the jumps were just too big for him, especially at his age, I don't blame him!! Laura was last to ride but nerves got the better of her and Shadow finishing on 16F.

The jumps were raised and the course changed. The second round did not fair as well for us. I had 2 fences down but was very pleased to have finished on just 8F. Anna had a very unlucky pole down to finish on 4F and overall individual 8th. Jane decided not to jump again and Laura and Shadow were not having the best of weekends collecting another 16F. Despite all this we still managed to finish a creditable 9th place.

A big thank you must go to all of the helpers over the weekend. It was good fun and we are all especially grateful to the support and advice from Steve Woods before our rounds.
