Finn Valley Riding Club 

 

On Sunday 25th March it was the Eventer Challenge qualifier at Poplar Park, Area 14 were kindly invited to join Area 8 for this event. Considering the weather we have had recently it was a nice day and the ground at Poplar was excellent.

The day started with the 100cm riders, we only had James entered as a individual qualifier but unfortunately the day didn’t go quite as he had planned, enough said I think, but hopefully he will now make sure he walks round all the jumps in the show jumping ring.

Next we had the 90cm teams and they all jumped lovely rounds and delighted when we read that the team consisting of Danielle, Joe, Isabella and Pip had won, Pip also the winner individually, Joe 4th & Isabella 6th. The other 90 team came 5th with Joe, Tish & Jenny so well done to them.

Last to go were the 80cm teams one team with riders Shirley, Julia Hicks, Julia Sheppard and Anne came 3rd all doing lovely clear rounds, with Shirley coming 3rd and Anne 5th individually. The second team came 5th with riders Danielle, Pip, Chloe & Sue.

​

We also had individuals in the junior classes with Flossie coming 10th and Imogen 4th.

Thank you also to Jacquie & Colin, Emma Kelly & mum plus Brooke for offering to jump judge and also a big thank you to Julia for organising the teams.
