Finn Valley Riding Club 

We had a team of 3 doing the 80 Shirley riding Timatia,  Julia on Hot Prospect and Jess on Willow. At the last moment we had a change of rider, Joe was to ride Willow.     Isabella was riding Quite a Compliment and Emma Sayer on Heatherview Indie as part of the Area 14 100+ team.    Millie Butters riding Derwins Dapple was an individual for the juniors doing the 100.  Friday morning the 80’s started with their dressage all did good tests then onto the show jumping where Julia and Shirley had clear rounds,     Joe unfortunately had a couple of poles down. XC was in the afternoon first to go was Shirley who had a lovely clear round, Joe was not quite so lucky and had a couple of stops and finally Julia who also had an unfortunately 20 penalties.    The team enjoyed their day and Shirley secured 6th place.    Saturday morning was the turn of the 100’s and 100+   both Isabella and Emma had good dressage with an unfortunate stop for both Emma and Isabella on the XC. The show jumping was on the Sunday with the Area 14 team coming 8th. Millie did a good dressage test but it was so unfortunate she sadly had a fall in the XC. Both rider and horse were fine but she decided to retire after her horse decided to run back to the start!

It was a great weekend with lots of fun, and a good BBQ on the Friday night, thanks girls for all the cooking and for burning my table and grass in the process.
